TIER1 Thumbstick Gel Caps
The Process
TIER1 Accessories saw an opening in the thumbstick cap market. Thumbstick caps are typically silicon gel caps that attach to the thumbsticks of videogame controllers and provide gamers with added support and traction for intense gameplay.
We began developing a new design that had never been attempted before, a cap with raised edges.
Designs for the Overall shape
The outer blue area has a hard straight raised edge that is higher than the center piece. The center is an inverted nipple (a nipple with a depression in the middle). It is covered with raised bumps for traction.
